Bow Open Spaces is setting up an adopt-a-trail scheme for trail maintenance in Nottingcook Forest.
In the near future, we would like to incorporate this in all the Bow Open Spaces forests.
Members “adopt” a section on the club web site. A maintenance period, for the time being, would be from October 1 of one year to September 30th of the next; i.e. a calendar year – and the work is obviously done mainly when the ground is free of snow and/or ice.
During the year, trail adopters maintain their section of trail on their own schedule. If there are, say, six people maintaining a section, they would work out their allotments and schedules among themselves.
More info to come!
